CERTIFICATE OF NAMES AND INFORMATION CONCERNING ALL CANDIDATES FOR THE OFFICE OF MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL TO BE VOTED UPON AT THE ELECTION TO BE HELD NOVEMBER 3, 2020 WITHIN THE CITY OF HAINES.

I, Valerie Russell, do hereby certify that I am the City Recorder of the City of Haines, Oregon, and I do further certify unto the County Clerk of Baker County, Oregon, the following names of the persons and the following information relating to said persons who have filed as candidates for the offices of Mayor and City Council to be voted upon at the election to be held November 3, 2020 within the City of Haines, Oregon.
 
The following named persons have been properly nominated by Petition, and are entitled to be placed upon the list of candidates for the Office of Mayor, to-wit:
 
                        1.  Jim Brown
                        2.  Brian Pound
                       
The following named persons have been properly nominated by Petition, and are entitled to be placed upon the list of candidates for the Office of City Council, to-wit:
                       

                       1.  Dennis Anthony
                        2.  Ken Bain
                        3.  Peter Hall
                       
That all of the persons who have been nominated have asked that their names be placed upon the official ballot have therefore given their acceptance that they would accept the position if they are elected for the position named above at the election to be held November 3, 2020.
 
I do certify at this time that the following offices and terms are to be filled:

That the individuals of those herein above named who receive the highest number of votes will be elected to the offices of Mayor and City Council.
 
That the ballot to be prepared by the County Clerk of Baker County, Oregon, shall provide space for write in votes, and that the persons receiving the highest number of votes will be elected to the above named offices.

The Baker County Clerk will mail ballots October 14th. If you have not received your ballot by October 21st you should contact the Baker County Clerk's office.

CANDIDATES FILING FOR NONPARTISAN NOMINATION FOR CITY COUNCIL/MAYOR- 2020 GENERAL ELECTION
 
Eligible candidates must be registered to vote in Oregon and must have resided in the City of Haines during the 12 months immediately preceding the November election.        
 
Twenty (20) nominating signatures are required. Signers must be registered to vote in the City of Haines.
 
The first day to file is June 3, 2020. Please call contact City Recorder Valerie Russell at 541-856-3366 to make an appointment to pick up Candidate Filing forms.
 
The City Recorder must receive Petitions and Candidacy filing by 3:30 pm, Tuesday, August 25, 2020. Filings will be submitted to the County Clerk by 5:00 pm on Tuesday, August 25, 2020 for certification.
